Like many people, I spent years chasing the things I thought would make me feel enough. Career success. Recognition. Achievement. Yet beneath it all I found myself navigating addiction, burnout, the collapse of a marriage, financial ruin and the difficult process of rebuilding a life from the ground up.
Those experiences changed me. More importantly, they changed the questions I began asking.
Why do intelligent, capable people repeat the same patterns?
Why do some of us achieve success while quietly feeling disconnected from ourselves?
Why do we spend so much of our lives becoming who we think we should be, instead of understanding who we already are?
Those questions eventually led me to therapeutic coaching, where I found a way of working that felt deeply aligned with my own experience. I don't believe people need fixing. I believe they need the space to understand themselves more honestly. When that happens, change follows with far greater depth and permanence than any quick solution can offer.
Today, I work with individuals navigating transition, pressure, anxiety, relationships, leadership and the search for greater meaning. Every conversation is different, but they all begin in the same place. Understanding yourself.
Alongside my private coaching, I founded Useful Men, a community where men train together, think together and learn to have the conversations many of us have avoided for years. I also write Meaningful Monday, a weekly reflection exploring psychology, purpose and what it means to live with greater intention.
Running has become another teacher. Long before it became about distance or pace, it became a practice in paying attention. Like coaching, it reminds me that progress rarely comes from forcing harder. More often, it comes from learning to listen.
I don't see coaching as giving people answers.
I see it as helping them uncover the ones they already carry.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed or simply aware that something in your life no longer fits, perhaps what you need isn't another strategy.
Perhaps you need the space to understand yourself more deeply.
Everything else begins there.
